SUMMARY OF BILL: Requires the Department of Labor and Workforce Development
(DLWD) to create and publish a report on the number of employers it has enrolled in E-Verify or
conducted work authorizations for. Effective January 1, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumption:
• The DLWD can create and publish a report utilizing existing resources, without a
significant increase in state expenditures. Therefore, any fiscal impact is estimated to be not
significant.
COMMERCE IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumption:
• It is expected that employers can report the number of employees enrolled in E-Verify or
for whom work authorizations have been conducted to the DLWD without incurring
significant costs or disruptions to business operations.
