SUMMARY OF BILL: Deletes obsolete language regarding the State Board of Education
being an authorizer for public charter schools, which expired at 11:59 on June 30, 2021.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumption:
• Removing antiquated language from Tennessee Code Annotated will not have any effect on
state or local government. Any fiscal impact is estimated to be not significant.
