SUMMARY OF BILL:    Encourages the Department of Health (DOH) to: (1) implement 
voluntary reporting of Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease (CMT) cases through existing electronic health 
record systems; (2) utilize current departmental resources and infrastructure for such data collection; 
and (3) provide an annual report to certain legislative committees on the progress of the voluntary 
initiative. 
 
 
FISCAL IMPACT: 
 
NOT SIGNIFICANT 
 
 Assumption: 
 
• Encouraging DOH to implement voluntary reporting of CMT cases will have no significant 
fiscal impact to state or local government operations.
