A RESOLUTION to honor Jared Curtis, outstanding quarterback 
for the Nashville Christian School state-
champion football team. 
 
 WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly take great pleasure in recognizing a 
young man who, having already achieved great success in high school football, will most 
certainly continue to shine on the gridiron as a senior and excel in all aspects of life during a 
bright future; and 
 WHEREAS, Jared Curtis, junior quarterback for state-champion Nashville Christian 
School (NCS), is a five-star college prospect who is nationally ranked as the number-one 
quarterback for the 2026 class, the number-four player overall, and the number-one player 
overall in Tennessee by 247Sports Composite and is ranked as the number-one player in the 
nation for the class of 2026 by other national recruiting services; and 
 WHEREAS, Jared Curtis received the 2024 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Award, the 
Gatorade Tennessee Player of the Year Award, the 615Preps Player of the Year Award, and 
the MaxPreps Tennessee Player of the Year Award and was named a MaxPreps Junior All-
American in recognition of his awe-inspiring performance as both a passer and a rusher; and 
 WHEREAS, although these accolades are much-deserved, Jared Curtis is quite self-
effacing about his accomplishments, and he plays not for the fame but for his teammates, his 
coaches, his school, and for the love of the game; and 
 WHEREAS, during the 2024 season, Jared completed 70 percent of his passes for 
2,830 yards and passed for 40 touchdowns; he also rushed for 637 yards and 18 touchdowns, 
compiling 3,647 total yards; and

 WHEREAS, for his three-year career, he has compiled an amazing 9,328 yards and 130 
total touchdowns; and 
 WHEREAS, an even more impressive barometer of Jared's talent is his knack for playing 
lights out in big games; and 
 WHEREAS, he led the NCS Eagles to the 2024 TSSAA Division II-A state championship 
with a 12-1 record that was built upon an average of 48 points scored per game and an average 
margin of victory of 37 points; and 
 WHEREAS, in the 2024 BlueCross Bowl, Jared Curtis propelled NCS to the Division II-A 
state championship by rushing for 60 yards and four touchdowns and passing for 158 yards and 
two additional touchdowns in an incredible display of athletic ability and competitive drive; and 
 WHEREAS, in less than a week, he led his team to the state championship and won two 
major individual awards; and 
 WHEREAS, a well-rounded and compassionate young man, Jared Curtis has 
volunteered in support of the Ronald McDonald House and the Cozy Sock drive that benefits 
Vanderbilt Children's Hospital; and 
 WHEREAS, Jared Curtis has distinguished himself as one of the most gifted football 
players and quarterbacks in the nation, and he is richly deserving of our approbation on this 
special occasion; now, therefore,  
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED 
FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE SENATE 
CONCURRING, that we recognize Jared Curtis as an elite quarterback and five-star college 
recruit, pay tribute to his exemplary 2024 season in which he led the Nashville Christian School 
Eagles to the Division II-A state championship, congratulate him on the many prestigious 
awards he has received, and wish him all the best for the 2025 football season.

 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to 
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear 
without House or Senate designation.
