<BillNo> <Sponsor> HOUSE RESOLUTION 46 By Parkinson HR0046 004739 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Jimmy Taylor, Jr. WHEREAS, we were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Taylor, Jr.; and WHEREAS, Jimmy Taylor was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for his fellow citizens in numerous capacities; and WHEREAS, Mr. Taylor was a respected businessman and entrepreneur, having owned a tiling business and a cleaning service; and WHEREAS, a gentleman of many talents and interests, Jimmy Taylor was a founding member of the choir "The Covenant Keepers," and in addition to his position as a licensed minister, he was a skilled singer, songwriter, and musician; and WHEREAS, deeply devoted to his family, Mr. Taylor always endeavored to remain true to family values of the highest order and was most proud of his role as a doting father, husband, son, and brother; and WHEREAS, Jimmy Taylor leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all his chosen endeavors; and WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE S OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we honor the memory of Jimmy Taylor, Jr., reflecting fondly upon his impeccable character and his stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage and conviction. - 2 - 004739 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Taylor.
