SUMMARY OF BILL: Extends the termination date of the Second Look Commission to
June 30, 2029. Under the Tennessee Governmental Entity Review Law, the commission is
scheduled to terminate on June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• This legislation continues an existing entity at its current funding level.
• According to the Commission on Children and Youth, the Second Look Commission’s
expenditures were $99,706 in FY22-23 and $71,706 in FY23-24.
