SUMMARY OF BILL: Requires a gun dealer to ensure that 14 days have passed since the
transaction was initiated by the purchaser before transferring a firearm to a purchaser if the
purchaser is older than 17 years of age and younger than 21 years of age.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• It is assumed that all licensed firearm dealers will comply with the requirement of this
legislation. Any impacts to the dealers for such compliance will be borne by those dealers.
• The legislation is not estimated to significantly impact firearm sales in this state. Any fiscal
impact related to state or local sales taxes is estimated to be not significant.
