FISCAL IMPACT: NOT SIGNIFICANT Assumptions: • Pursuant to Board of Nursing rule 1000-03-.02(5), a registered nurse may make an actual determination and pronouncement of death pursuant to the restrictions and guidelines found in Tenn. Code Ann. § 68-3-511. • Changing the conditions under which a registered nurse is authorized to make a determination and pronouncement of death at a hospital will not have a significant impact on the operations of the Department of Health or the health-related boards. • Any fiscal impact to state or local government is estimated to be not significant.
