SUMMARY OF BILL:    Requires the State Board of Examiners for Architects and Engineers 
to publish on the board's website the time and place at which the examinations for registration as an 
engineer or an engineer intern are to be administered, and the acceptable grade necessary for passage 
of the examinations. 
 
 
FISCAL IMPACT: 
 
NOT SIGNIFICANT 
 
 Assumptions: 
 
• Any fiscal impact to the board as a result of posting such information on its existing website 
is estimated to be not significant. 
• Pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 4-29-121, all regulatory boards are required to be self-
sufficient over any two-year period. The State Board of Examiners for Architects and 
Engineers experienced a surplus of $564,600 in FY22-23, a surplus of $398,467 in FY23-24, 
and had a cumulative reserve balance of $4,066,448 on June 30, 2024. 
 
 
IMPACT TO COMMERCE: 
 
                                                    NOT SIGNIFICANT 
 
 Assumption: 
 
• The proposed legislation will have no significant impact on jobs or commerce in Tennessee.
