SUMMARY OF BILL: Deletes obsolete language that required the University of Tennessee
and the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association to report to the Tennessee
Higher Education Commission on the reasonable efforts their institutions have taken to deter
infringement of copyrighted works over their institutions’ computer and network resources.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumption:
• Deleting the obsolete language will have no impact on state or local government. Any fiscal
impact is not significant.
