SUMMARY OF BILL: Authorizes grant payments to eligible individuals under the Grant
Assistance Program for Nursing Home Care to be made quarterly.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NOT SIGNIFICANT
Assumptions:
• Under current law, pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 71-5-1305, grant payments to
individuals in nursing homes are required to be made monthly.
• Allowing grant payments to be made less frequently will not have an impact on the total
monetary amount of payments under the program, or result in a significant decrease in state
expenditures.
