A RESOLUTION to commend Marc Joseph Broadhead for
exemplary service as a legislative intern.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, this General Assembly is pleased to recognize
certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment
of the legislative process; and
WHEREAS, Marc Joseph Broadhead is one such individual, who has distinguished
himself in his role as a legislative intern for Senator Heidi Campbell; Mr. Broadhead's work has
resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators he assisted and the General Assembly as a
whole; and
WHEREAS, a student at Belmont University, where he is highly regarded by his peers,
Mr. Broadhead has achieved academic success while pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in
Economics with a minor in Political Science and Mathematics; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his undergraduate studies, Marc Broadhead is concurrently
pursuing a Master of Applied Science degree in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Broadhead has served the Alzheimer's Impact Movement in Nashville
as a public policy advocate since 2023; prior to his current work, Marc Broadhead was a student
advocate in Senator Heidi Campbell's mayoral campaign, in which position he canvassed local
neighborhoods, collected voting data, and campaigned; and
WHEREAS, eager to familiarize himself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further his studies, Marc Broadhead brought his many
abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred
Fourteenth General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Mr. Broadhead has surpassed all
criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and
WHEREAS, Marc Broadhead has performed his many duties with extraordinary insight
and rare decorum; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Marc Joseph Broadhead for
outstanding service as a legislative intern for Senator Heidi Campbell and extend to him our
best wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
without House or Senate designation.
