<BillNo> <Sponsor> SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 395 By Walley SJR0395 006922 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor the memory of Robin Gayle Montague Peak of Oakland. WHEREAS, the members of this General Assembly were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Robin Gayle Montague Peak; and WHEREAS, Robin Peak was an exemplary public servant and consummate professional who worked assiduously to improve the quality of life for her fellow citizens in numerous capacities; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak served with acumen and alacrity as a healthcare receptionist, in which position she earned the respect of her peers and superiors alike for the exemplary quality of her work; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak was an active and devout member of Macon Church of Christ, which she served faithfully for many years; and WHEREAS, deeply devoted to her family, Robin Peak always endeavored to remain true to family values of the highest order; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak enjoyed the loving companionship of her husband, Donald Peak, for forty-eight years and was the proud mother of Kylie (Jeff) Burrow and Christopher (Katherine) Peak; and WHEREAS, Robin Peak is further survived by her brothers, Tim (Sandy) Montague and Andy (Michelle) Montague; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Peak was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Peggy Johnson Montague; and WHEREAS, in addition to cross stitching and watching Hallmark movies, Robin Peak loved being with her family; and - 2 - 006922 WHEREAS, Robin Peak leaves behind an indelible legacy of integrity and probity in public life, compassion and loyalty in private life, and diligence and dedication in all her chosen endeavors; and WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to remember the bountiful life of this exceptional public servant and human being; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOU SE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we honor the memory of Robin Gayle Montague Peak, reflecting fondly upon her impeccable character and her stalwart commitment to living the examined life with courage and conviction. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our sympathy and offer our condolences to the family of Mrs. Peak. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
