<BillNo> <Sponsor> SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 398 By Akbari SJR0398 006865 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to commend Taylor Hollands for exemplary service as a legislative intern. WHEREAS, each legislative session, this body is pleased to recognize certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment of the legislative process; and WHEREAS, Taylor Hollands is one such individual who has distinguished herself in her role as a legislative intern for Senator Raumesh Akbari; Ms. Hollands's work has resulted in innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and WHEREAS, a student at the University of Memphis, where she is highly regarded by her peers, Taylor Hollands has achieved academic success and has been recognized on the Dean's List while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Mass Media, Communications, and Fine Arts; and WHEREAS, in her collegiate career, Ms. Hollands has served as a member of the Student Government Association, Psychology Club, Lambuth Pride, Wesley Foundation, and PRSSA Memphis; and WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Taylor Hollands brought her many abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred Fourteenth General Assembly; and WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Ms. Hollands has surpassed all criteria that define a devoted and conscientious intern; and WHEREAS, Taylor Hollands has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight and rare decorum; now, therefore, - 2 - 006865 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Taylor Hollands for outstanding service as a legislative intern for Senator Raumesh Akbari and extend to her our best wishes for every future success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear without House or Senate designation.
