A RESOLUTION to commend Laianni K. Moore for exemplary
service as a legislative intern.
WHEREAS, each legislative session, this General Assembly is pleased to recognize
certain persons who have committed themselves, through their adroit service, to the betterment
of the legislative process; and
WHEREAS, Laianni K. Moore is one such individual, who has distinguished herself in
her role as a legislative intern for Senator Mark Pody; Ms. Moore's work has resulted in
innumerable benefits for the legislators she assisted and the General Assembly as a whole; and
WHEREAS, a student at Tennessee State University (TSU), where she is highly
regarded by her peers, Ms. Moore has achieved academic success while pursuing a Bachelor
of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in English; and
WHEREAS, Laianni Moore has been involved in several extracurricular activities during
her collegiate career, including Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International,
and the Andrew Goodman Foundation, which she served as a campus ambassador;
additionally, she is a member of the Honors College and served as vice president of the honor's
dorm facility at TSU; and
WHEREAS, prior to her current work with the legislature, Ms. Moore participated in the
Thurgood Marshall College Fund's Leadership Institute and the Rutgers English Diversity
Institute programs in 2024; and
WHEREAS, eager to familiarize herself with the characteristics and complexities of
Tennessee State government and to further her studies, Laianni Moore brought her many
abilities and singular expertise to Capitol Hill for the 2025 session of the One Hundred
Fourteenth General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, throughout the 2025 legislative session, Ms. Moore has surpassed all
criteria that define a devoted and conscientious legislative intern; and
WHEREAS, Laianni Moore has performed her many duties with extraordinary insight
and rare decorum; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, that we hereby commend Laianni K. Moore for
outstanding service as a legislative intern for Senator Mark Pody and extend to her our best
wishes for every future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy and upon proper request made to
the appropriate clerk, the language appearing immediately following the State seal appear
without House or Senate designation.
