A RESOLUTION to congratulate Byron Conaway upon his 
induction into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of 
Fame. 
 
 WHEREAS, it is fitting that we should salute those citizens who, through their 
remarkable efforts, have distinguished themselves as community leaders of whom we can all be 
proud; and 
WHEREAS, one such estimable individual is Byron Conaway of Savannah, who has 
been inducted into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame, a testament to the important role he 
has played in the history and advancement of aviation in Tennessee; and 
WHEREAS, born and raised in Adamsville, Byron Conaway is a lifelong aviation 
enthusiast and pilot, and he is the proud owner and operator of the Sibley Aviation Museum at 
the Robert Sibley Airport in Selmer; and 
WHEREAS, Mr. Conaway uses the museum to reach many youth in the area and 
introduce them to aviation; in addition to educating them on this important and most interesting 
topic, he has no doubt influenced the life paths of countless young Tennesseans; and 
WHEREAS, he has also served his community as a philanthropist, supporting veterans 
and underprivileged citizens in West Tennessee; and 
WHEREAS, the success of this State, the strength of our communities, and the overall 
vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon the dedication of people such as 
Byron Conaway, who use their considerable talents and resources to serve others and who 
should be specially recognized for their public and community service; now, therefore, 
 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH 
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we recognize and congratulate

Byron Conaway upon his induction into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame, extending our 
best wishes for much continued success. 
 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an appropriate copy of this resolution be prepared 
for presentation with this final clause omitted from such copy.
