<BillNo> <Sponsor> SENATE RESOLUTION 133 By Walley SR0133 007050 - 1 - A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Justin Coleman on his appointment as director of the Selmer Utility Division. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this legislative body give special recognition to those individuals who have achieved significant milestones in their careers; and WHEREAS, Justin Coleman is one such individual, who was recently selected by the Town of Selmer Board of Mayor and Aldermen to serve as director of the Selmer Utility Division; and WHEREAS, the director of the Selmer Utility Division is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the gas, water, and sewer departments and ensuring that these services are delivered efficiently, safely, and reliably to over 8,000 customers in the community; and WHEREAS, Mr. Coleman has served the Selmer Utility Division with acumen and alacrity for twenty years, having initially worked as a water crewman in the water department for five years before transitioning to a role as a gas crewman in the natural gas department in 2010; and WHEREAS, in 2022, Justin Coleman was promoted to the role of gas supervisor after twelve years in the gas department and served in that position for the past three years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the residents of Selmer; and WHEREAS, in his new position, Mr. Coleman hopes to accomplish several key objectives, including the enhancement of service reliability, infrastructural improvements, financial stewardship, enhancement of crisis preparedness, and communication with the department's community of customers; and WHEREAS, his professional accomplishments aside, Mr. Coleman is most thankful for the love and support of his wife, Amber, and their three sons, Matthew, Jayden, and John Luke; and - 2 - 007050 WHEREAS, wholly committed to public service, Justin Coleman exemplifies the spirit and allegiance to family and community that are characteristic of a true Tennessean; and WHEREAS, his professionalism, integrity, and steadfast commitment to excellence surely bode well for his success as director of the Selmer Utility Division; and WHEREAS, Mr. Coleman is a public-spirited citizen of the highest order and is most worthy of our approbation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTEENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, that we hereby honor and congratulate Justin Coleman on his appointment to director of the Selmer Utility Division and extend to him our best wishes for every future success.
