Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1023 by Deshotel (Relating to the use of certain state property transferred from the state to Spindletop MHMR Services.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill expands the allowable uses of property transferred from the Department of State Health Services and the Department of Aging and Disability Services to Spindletop MHMR Services. In addition to provision of community-based mental health or mental retardation services, the property could be used for provision of community-based physical health or health-related services. It is assumed any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
