Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1170 by Martinez, "Mando" (Relating to the qualifications to conduct a social study in certain suits affecting the parent-child relationship.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The would amend Section 170.0511 of the Family Code, Social Study Evaluators: Minimum Qualifications, by adding subsection (g) that would create an exemption for individuals who before September 1, 2007 had at least five years of experience as a social study evaluator, and had conducted at least 100 social studies.    It is assumed that any cost associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.   Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
