A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the issuance of Bronze Star specialty license plates.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 504.317 to read as follows:
Sec. 504.317. BRONZE STAR MEDAL RECIPIENTS. (a) The
department shall issue specialty license plates for persons who
have received the Bronze Star medal. The license plates must
include a depiction of the Bronze Star medal and the words "Bronze
Star."
(b) Notwithstanding Section 504.3015(b), the fee for
issuance of the license plates is:
(1) $10 for the first set of license plates; and
(2) $15 for each additional set of license plates.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
