O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1183 by Turner, Sylvester (Relating to the issuance of Bronze Star specialty license plates.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to issue specialty license plates for Bronze Star medal recipients. The bill would establish a fee of $10 for the first set of plates and $15 for the each additional set of plates. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Also based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed the issuance of Bronze Star medal license plates would not result in a significant impact to state revenues. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
