The bill would provide a retiree of the Teacher Retirement System (TRS), who is eligible for health coverage under TRS-Care, the opportunity to select coverage during the first 90 days after retirement. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
