O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1215 by Farias (Relating to the collection of administrative fees by the commissioners courts of certain counties.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill allows a county's comissioners court to collect court costs, fees, and fines collectible under Article 103.0033, Code of Criminal Procedure, as part of a collection improvement program. Local Government Impact The bill would add county commissioners courts that have implemented a collection improvement program to the list of government entities that are authorized to collect court costs and fees payable under Title 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The bill should not have a significant impact on the amount of fines and court costs collected; therefore, no significant fiscal implication to local government is anticipated.
