O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1224 by Laubenberg (Relating to the authority of general-law municipalities to restrict where sex offenders may live in the municipality.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would authorize the governing body of a general-law municipality, by ordinance, to restrict in the municipality how close the residence of a person required to register as a sex offender may be to a premises where children commonly gather. Local Government Impact Any administrative costs associated with enacting an ordinance could be absorbed within existing resources.
