The bill would amend the Government Code to authorize the Governor to make a grant from the Texas Enterprise Fund to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the development of certain rail projects authorized under Chapter 91 of the Transportation Code. Based on the analysis of TxDOT and the Office of the Governor, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
