                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 21, 2009      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1365 by Eissler (Relating to service records of professional staff employed by school districts.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  If a school district fails to provide service record information as delineated under the bill, the Texas Education Agency would be directed to provide information to a hiring school district to enable determination of proper placement of the affected employee on the district's salary schedule. Local Government Impact If districts are not already providing the required service record information within the time period specified by the bill, some additional cost may be incurred to prepare and provide the service record within the specified time period.
