Solomons, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1374 by Anderson (Relating to the application of certain demand charges by transmission and distribution utilities to certain schools and nonprofit athletic or sports associations.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would require transmission and distribution utilities to provide a tiered ratchet provision to public or private schools or nonprofit athletic or sports associations. To implement the provisions of the bill, the Public Utility Commission (PUC) would be required to adopt rules. The PUC anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
