The bill would amend Subchapter B, Chapter 531 of the Government Code by adding section 531.099, which would require the Health and Human Services Commission to review forms and requirements under the Medicaid program regarding written orders for diabetic equipment and supplies and, to the extent possible, align the Medicaid procedures with Medicare procedures. HHSC assumes that the cost of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
