RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Subchapter E, Chapter 130, Education Code, by adding Section 130.0851, as follows: Sec. 130.0851. TUITION EXEMPTION FOR DISTRICT EMPLOYEES. Authorizes the governing body of a junior college district to exempt a district employee who enrolls in courses offered by the district from the payment of all or part of the tuition or fees charged to a student at a junior college by the district. SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2009.
