O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1663 by King, Phil (Relating to the issuance of a search warrant for a blood specimen from a person arrested for certain intoxication offenses.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would authorize any magistrate who is an attorney licensed by this state to issue a search warrant under Article 18.02(10), Code of Criminal Procedure, to collect a blood specimen from a person who is arrested for certain intoxication and alcoholic beverage offenses. Local Government Impact It is anticipated that any additional workload could be absorbed within existing resources. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
