The bill would amend the Business Organizations Code relating to the designation or appointment of registered agents for service of process, notice, or demand for certain entities.  The bill would list the duties of registered agents.  The bill would include penalties and liabilities for designating registered agents without their authorization or consent.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
