O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1787 by Solomons (Relating to the designation or appointment of registered agents for service of process, notice, or demand on certain entities or associations.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Business Organizations Code relating to the designation or appointment of registered agents for service of process, notice, or demand for certain entities.  The bill would define registered filing, represented domestic entity, and duties of registered agents.  The bill would include penalties and liabilities for designating registered agents without their authorization or consent.  The bill would be effective January 1, 2010.
