The bill would require the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to adopt rules requiring a retail electric provider to include on its variable rate plan customers' bills a statement of the price of electric service for the current billing period and preceding billing period, a statement of the estimated price of electric service for the upcoming billing period, and a statement directing the customers to the PUC's Power-to-Choose website. The PUC anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
