Solomons, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1798 by Bohac (Relating to information that must be included on certain electric bills.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to adopt rules requiring a retail electric provider to include on its variable rate plan customers' bills a statement of the price of electric service for the current billing period and preceding billing period, a statement of the estimated price of electric service for the upcoming billing period, and a statement directing the customers to the PUC's Power-to-Choose website.  The PUC anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
