O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1832 by Corte (Relating to the issuance of French Legion of Honor specialty license plates.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation to issue "Legion of Honor" specialty license plates to a recipient of the French Legion of Honor. Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed any costs or duties associated implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
