The bill would amend the Insurance Code regarding health services provided to health benefit plan enrollees and referrals to out-of-network health providers. The bill would require the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to adopt rules regarding this change in statute. TDI indicates that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill could be absorbed within existing agency resources.
