                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 15, 2009      TO: Honorable Troy Fraser, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2104 by Geren (Relating to the statute of limitations for an action under the Beer Industry Fair Dealing Law.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code, Subchapter D, Chapter 102 to add Section 102.82 requiring persons who file suit on an action arising under the Beer Industry Fair Dealing Law to do so no later than four years after the day the cause of action accrues.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.   The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) anticipates no significant fiscal impact to their agency.
