The bill would amend several sections of the Water Code relating to increased oversight and accountability for water supply or sewer service corporations, including requirements for the nomination and election of directors and independent election auditors, and audit requirements. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
