The bill adopts the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act. It provides the exclusive jurisdictional basis for a Texas court to appoint a guardian for an adult and addresses determination of jurisdiction as between Texas courts and the courts of other states.
