O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB230 by Pitts (Relating to exempting certain schools, nonprofit athletic or sports associations, and municipally owned facilities from certain demand charges by transmission and distribution utilities.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Utilities Code to require the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) to adopt rules to implement the provisions of the bill.  Based on information provided by the PUC, it is assumed that all costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
