The bill would exempt Lamar State College-Orange and Lamar State College-Port Arthur from requirements under Section 51.805 of the Education Code, including the provision that an applicant for admission to a general academic teaching institution complete the recommended or advanced high school curriculum, provided those institutions continue to operate as two-year lower division institutions.
