The bill would amend Section 171.053, Transportation Code, and add Section 171.256 to the Transportation Code. Districts created under Chapter 171, Transportation Code, may be created only in a county with a population of 3.3 million or in a county adjacent to that county. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
