O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2523 by Anchia (Relating to the purchasing of a firearm from the county by an honorably retired law enforcement officer. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a county to sell a firearm to an honorably retired commissioned peace officer. The county commissioners court would be required to establish the amount, which may not exceed fair market value.
