                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 13, 2009      TO: Honorable Edmund Kuempel, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2548 by Kuempel (Relating to membership of certain advisory bodies to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would increase the number of members on advisory committees to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). This bill would require the presiding commissioner of TDLR, with approval of the commission, to appoint these new members. Based on information provided by TDLR, it is assumed that the agency could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
