Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2659 by Villarreal (Relating to an outreach campaign to promote fathers' involvement with their children before birth.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Health & Safety Code and require the Office of the Attorney General to develop and update a publication describing the benefits of a fathers prenatal involvement in the childs life. Any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
