The bill would add Subchapter P to Chapter 375, Local Government Code, to authorize two or more municipal management districts to consolidate into one district. The bill provides the procedures and requirements that must be followed for consolidating two or more districts and for governing the consolidated district. Local Government Impact Included in the requirements for consolidating two or more districts is a requirement that each affected district hold an election on the issue, which would be the primary cost associated with implementing provisions of the bill.
