RULEMAKING AUTHORITY   This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.   SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS   SECTION 1. Amends Section 2.202(a), Family Code, to provide that certain persons are authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony, including current and former members of the legislature of this state.    SECTION 2. Makes application of this Act prospective.   SECTION 3. Effective date: September 1, 2009.

C.S.H.B. 2724 amends current law relating to persons authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony. 

 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Amends Section 2.202(a), Family Code, to provide that certain persons are authorized to conduct a marriage ceremony, including current and former members of the legislature of this state. 

 

SECTION 2. Makes application of this Act prospective.

 

SECTION 3. Effective date: September 1, 2009.
