The bill amends the Finance Code to continue the Credit Union Department as an independent agency for the next 12 years. Based on the analysis of the Credit Union Department and the Sunset Advisory Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
