The bill would amend the Business & Commerce Code to add "a contractual service" to the definition of consumer good and service, including the extension of a warranty for a motor vehicle. The bill would require the Public Utility Commission to adopt rules to amend existing rules relating to "no-call" lists. The Public Utility Commission indicates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
