A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to requiring a regional mobility authority to post on its
website copies of minutes approved at a meeting.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The heading to Section 551.056, Transportation
Code, is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 551.056. ADDITIONAL POSTING REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN
MUNICIPALITIES, COUNTIES, SCHOOL DISTRICTS, JUNIOR COLLEGE
DISTRICTS, [AND] DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS, AND REGIONAL MOBILITY
AUTHORITIES.
SECTION 2. Section 551.056, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
(c-1) A regional mobility authority described by Subsection
(c)(6) must also post copies of minutes, or summaries thereof,
approved at a meeting of its board of directors on the Internet
website of the regional mobility authority. The posting shall be
made within three working days following the meeting.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
