O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2839 by Riddle (Relating to the civil and criminal consequences of racing a motor vehicle on a highway.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize a court that enters a judgment of conviction for an offense of racing a motor vehicle on a highway when the defendant has previously been convicted of the same offense to order the motor vehicle the defendant was driving at the time of the offense to be forfeited to the state if the defendant was an owner at the time or the offense and is an owner at the time of conviction.
